UK M&E Contractor Moves Kent Office to Sittingbourne
Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Contractor, Synecore is relocating its UK head office to Sittingbourne as part of its five-year expansion plans and future recruitment drive.
Since it was established in 2005, Synecore has become a preferred UK M&E contractor for the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors.
The company’s focus on customer service, overall efficiency and national infrastructure has proven an attractive proposition for clients. Consequently, Synecore supports national roll-out programmes for the likes of Leon restaurants, Pret A Manger, Comptoir Libanais, Cote, Five Guys, Frankie and Benny’s, Hilton Hotels, Virgin Holidays and numerous airside restaurant concessions.
Synecore’s Kent head office is the hub of its national M&E operation. Here, it provides an all-encompassing design, installation and maintenance service for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, commercial refrigeration, electrics and plumbing.
After 13 years at its rural offices in a converted barn in Detling, the company has purchased over 4,000 square foot of office space at the popular business hot spot of Conqueror Court in Sittingbourne.
The company’s Managing Director and Co-Founder, Paul Thomas believes Sittingbourne is the ideal location to further expand Synecore’s HVAC and refrigeration service and maintenance division, as well as its mechanical and electrical estimating and project management services.
“Our current offices have served us well, but we have outgrown them. We need to embrace our success and look ahead,” explains Thomas. “Our new offices at Conqueror Court will not only provide added space to expand, but Sittingbourne itself is a convenient location for us. It has good access to London, many of our staff are local to the area and there is potential access to a larger workforce in the future.”
The move comes after a decade of substantial growth for the firm. By adapting the business to suit key clients and their national rollout programmes, Synecore has accrued national contracts for major hospitality brands, main contractors and architects.
“Since 2011, we’ve taken our turnover from £920,140 to £7 million in the last financial year (2017-2018). During this time, we have invested heavily in new staff and training programmes for young recruits across the county,” explains Thomas.
“Synecore continues to attract new clients and we need to ensure we still deliver the same level of customer care we have become renowned for. This means employing more staff and training the next generation of engineers.
“Our aim has always been to instil excellence and a good work ethic in all our recruits, which will ultimately benefit the industry as a whole. Our new offices will help us on this journey and we look forward to many more years of success at Conqueror Court,” concludes Thomas.
Synecore will relocate its HVAC service department, project management, estimating and design departments to the new Sittingbourne offices at Unit 1 Conqueror Court on Friday 7 September. These departments will continue to work in unison and deliver national M&E projects to a high standard on time and within budget.
